The mermaid House
La Maison de la Sirène (or The Mermaid House) is a 16th century house, architecturally characteristic of the village of Collonges-la-Rouge. The name comes from a little sculpture of a mermaid placed just above the entrance door. Inside you will find a museum as well as many historical and cultural books.
Open from the 1st July to the 31st August 2017 from 10.30am to 12.30pm and from 3pm to 5pm.

Discovering the geological fault
The geological fault in Meyssac shows the crack between the sandstone and the limestone floors. This important natural heritage feature of the area dates back a few millions years. Discover this geological site by car with a 21 km circuit, available free of charge at the Tourist Office.
Along the road, take a break at the geological centre in Noailhac for an informative journey back in time in the surrounds of a beautifully restored old building.

In a natural and peaceful environment, 500m above sea level, you will be amazed by the huge variety of plants of all shapes and colours: from Canada to Patagonia, Siberia to New-Zealand and from the jungles of Asia to the American deserts.

The walnut museum
The walnut museum, in Saillac, is situated in an old priory with a beautiful vaulted ceiling. Inside is a small bistrot and snack bar with walnut produce, that makes for a very original visit. Maurice Marbot, a true connoisseur and president of the International Walnut Society, has made it the official meeting place of the club.
Open from the 1st April to the 5th November everyday from 10am to 6pm.
